Little things matter!

Monday Motivation May 8
As we begin this new week on May 8, 2023, I want to remind you that little things count. Our pastor’s sermon yesterday was a powerful reminder that God can do a lot with a little, using the story of the feeding of the 5000 from the book of John. Even when it seems like we do not have much to work with, we can accomplish great things if we focus on what really matters.
This lesson is particularly relevant for small business owners. In business, the little things matter a great deal. In fact, they often make the difference between success and failure. Small businesses do not become big businesses overnight; it takes time, hard work, and attention to detail to get there.
Last year our lawn guy decided he did not want to be in business anymore. We had a tough time finding someone that even wanted to take our phone call. I bet we called 10 places before someone answered their phone. As a small business owner, if you do not answer your phone, you will not grow. There is one business that is growing in its industry, however. I am happy to be its customer.
This story should motivate you. The bar is low if you want to grow your business. All you need to do is the little things. Answer your phone, do what you say you will, be on time.
In conclusion, I encourage you to rededicate yourself to the little things in your business this week. With hard work, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow, you can grow your business!
